Back down to earth a little, after Tuesday night's excesses, but hey, we're
still getting those odd-goal victories where in less fortunate times we
wouldn't be, so I'm not complaining. We were just about worth the win
(although Stoke were incredibly lucky not to equalise at the end with the

And it came to the point in the season where, after clinging on grimly to a
2-1 lead over Walsall (every disrespect intended, as Danny Baker would say),
the crowd erupted in relief. Yes, it had come to that. But much more
encouraging all round, and three points on the board; I'm certainly not
complaining!

A fluke? Or is it all starting to come together? I'd like to think it's more
of the latter. The team looked like a really solid unit tonight, and perhaps
the only fluke was that the first half was one of those times when

So TBBM (The Bloke Behind Me) says: "it comes to something when the most
recognisable name on the pitch is the ****** referee" and he had a point. A
lot of Rotherham fans will be setting fire to their Andy D'Urso
commemorative teatowels after this one, but we can be thankful to him for
