Utter, utter garbage. It's hard to know where to start. Charlton fans spent much of the match mocking their own team's abject display, Ipswich fans spent it looking heavenwards in frustration, and the neutral supporter I brought with me said it was just the kind of game which makes you long for the warmth of your living room. Fourteen games, and fourteen different midfield starting lineups: and this one may be just about as bad as any we've suffered, as Jim flounders around searching for some semblance of solidity. Not sure what to make of this one. We got a far more sensible team selection than Saturday, and for periods of the match we tried to pass the ball around, so a big improvement in Jim's performance, for sure.
