Scunthorpe are one of those unprepossessing teams who you'd normally have a soft spot for, but by the end of this one, after ninety minutes of them trying to kill the game as a spectacle, the Portman Road faithful were baying for blood. At last - this is exactly the sort of performance this Ipswich squad should be capable of, and everyone who watched the match tonight must have gone away wondering why it's taken so long for Town to produce such a competent and confident ninety minutes' display.
